What Snapoena Does
Snapoena captures full-page screenshots of publicly accessible websites. When you submit a URL, our server visits that URL, takes a screenshot, and adds a metadata header (URL and timestamp) to the image. The resulting image is stored temporarily and made available for download.
What We Collect
- URLs you submit - stored as part of the capture metadata. The domain name (not the full URL) is logged for analytics.
- Capture metadata - timestamp, file size, capture duration, and a SHA-256 hash of the resulting image. Stored for 7 days.
- IP address - used only for rate limiting (10 captures per hour). Not stored permanently. Rate limit records are deleted after 2 hours.
- Analytics - we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (page views, referrers, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. IP addresses are anonymized before being stored.
What We Don't Collect
- No content from captured pages beyond what you submit
- No sale of data to third parties
- No cross-site behavioral advertising beyond Google Ads remarketing
Data Storage & Retention
Screenshots are stored on Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible object storage) and automatically deleted after 7 days. Capture metadata in our database is also deleted after 7 days.
If you need your capture to persist beyond 7 days, download the PNG or PDF before it expires.
Server-Side Capture
All screenshots are captured by our server, not your browser. This means our server visits the URL you provide. We do not capture pages that require authentication - only publicly accessible content.
Third-Party Services
- Cloudflare R2 - screenshot storage (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
- Fly.io - application hosting (Fly.io Privacy Policy)
- Google Analytics 4 - web analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Privacy Policy)
